What you'll do

As an experienced (2-5 years) Product Owner, you will join our product team (2 POs, 1 PM), led by the Head of Product. You will have a key position with our company, serving as the bridge between our (potential) customers, internal stakeholders, and your scrum team. Your main responsibility will be developing and scaling a product from MVP towards product-market fit, as well as maintaining and improving existing products. You will develop and share the product vision with your team and stakeholders, ensuring “your” product meets the needs of multiple customers and contributes to the company strategy.

Part of your focus will be inwards: motivating your scrum team members (Backend developers, Frontend developers, Product Success specialists and Machine Learning Engineers), managing the product backlog and prioritising activities on reaching business outcomes, communicating with internal stakeholders, brainstorming, and designing requirements with the team. However, also an important part of your work is externally focused: managing the product delivery for customers, meeting with existing and prospect customers, giving product demos, performing product and market research, and attending industry events.

Your scrum team focuses on new product development, therefore we are looking for a Product Owner who likes and is experienced with applied R&D, doing customer POCs, is flexible and thrives in uncertain environments.

In sum you will:

  • Work in an agile environment in a small team
  • Leading our products from MVP to scalable products that have Product/Market fit.
  • Be an inspiration to the team, share your Product Vision and offer guidance
  • Build products for large (international) clients in the entertainment industry

In a nutshell, this is you

  • You have 2- 5 years of relevant working experience as a Product Owner or other product-related job
  • You have a good understanding of and passion for the Media & Entertainment industry
  • You are fluent in English and you have a bachelor’s degree
  • You thrive in a startup/scaleup environment where new ideas are embraced
  • You know how to inspire and motivate a team
  • You are a great communicator, able to weigh different perspectives and explain your choices.
  • You enjoy taking ownership and naturally feel the sense of responsibility
  • You’re able to bring focus when dealing with conflicting needs
  • You’re agile-minded and experienced with Scrum or other agile methods
  • You have experience with data-driven decisions

Bonus Points if…

  • You have relevant work experience in the Media & Entertainment industry
  • You are familiar with video delivery platforms, search and recommendation systems, and/or consumer video services
  • You have experience working in a B2B (or B2B2C) setting and working with corporate clients
  • You have led a team that focused on new product development and have experience launching a product
  • You have experience with developing AI-based products
