Two CSI Awards for Search & Discovery Suite
Media Distillery was honoured twice at the 2026 CSI Awards, with our Search & Discovery Suite recognised for both content discovery and short-form video innovation.
The suite was named winner of:
- Best Advance in Content Discovery
- Best Short Form & Vertical Video Deployment
The awards were presented during IBC 2026 in Amsterdam and recognise the work we are doing to help streaming services make their content easier to find, easier to navigate and available to watch in more ways.
Helping broadcasters and streamers make the most of their content
Media Distillery’s Search & Discovery Suite analyses long-form video and automatically generates assets including chapters, topics, previews and clips.
These outputs can be used by streaming services to improve discovery and navigation, help viewers decide what to watch, and make existing content available in short-form and vertical formats suited to different platforms and viewing habits.
Winning in two different categories reflects the breadth of the suite.
For content discovery, the same underlying video analysis can help platforms create richer metadata, surface relevant moments and topics, and give viewers more useful ways to explore long-form content.
For short-form and vertical video, it can transform long-form programmes into previews, clips, highlights and other shorter viewing experiences without requiring editorial teams to create every output manually.
The suite is already used by a number of broadcasters and streamers including NLZIET, Sunrise, and yallo.
More ways to find and watch existing content
Streaming services already have large libraries of valuable content, but the challenge is making sure viewers can find something worth watching quickly and access content in the format that suits them.
Search & Discovery Suite helps address that by turning long-form video into the metadata, chapters and video assets needed to support different viewing experiences.
This can mean helping viewers jump straight to a relevant section of a programme, using a spoiler-free preview to decide whether to press play, or discovering a short vertical clip on mobile.
The goal is the same: help viewers spend less time searching and more time watching.
Recognition at IBC 2026
The CSI Awards have recognised technology innovation across the broadcast, video and streaming sectors since 2003.
This year, Media Distillery was shortlisted in three categories. Alongside the two wins for Search & Discovery Suite, the Tendencias experience developed with Argentina’s Personal for the 2026 World Cup was also shortlisted for Best TV User Experience.
The two wins add further recognition for Media Distillery’s work with broadcasters and streaming services to automate the creation of richer, more flexible viewing experiences at scale.
